- Connect to iPad: For the first-generation Apple Pencil, plug the Lightning connector into the Lightning port on your iPad. For the second-generation Apple Pencil, simply attach it magnetically to the side of your iPad near the charging port.
- Pairing (if necessary): If it’s the first time you’re connecting IPad with Apple pen, follow the on-screen instructions to pair it via Bluetooth. This usually involves tapping “Pair” when prompted.
- Confirmation: Once connected, your iPad should recognize the Apple Pencil, and you’ll see a confirmation message or animation on the screen.
